If he's winning championships, I doubt whatever team he played for is going to drop him for that.

Plus, a lot of sports clubs have really aggressive bullying and hazing in them (in the younger clubs I know for sure), so I don't think they'd care nearly as much about image as idols and actors do. Your job is to win games, so as long as you're not caught being a criminal, I don't think people care as much if you're a bully or an asshole.
