Tbh the noise and too experimental music only really applies to Aespa, NCT, GOT and occasionally RV. Their can be hit or miss on the charts. Everyone else has their own sound they have been using for years, some of which has done well with public like RV, SNSD and Taeyeon all last year which automatically contradicts the sweeping idea that SM is outdated or out of touch.
