Military literally have been singing, hyping, and passing down this song to their juniors like a damned national treasure. We all have different tastes, but seriously, i suggest to get over it. BG’s recent success is a monumental time for k-pop tbh and im proud of them for this.

And for the record, i don’t think this song is generic. Even back then when it was released and edm/house music was all-around, this song is one of the top songs that came out of that trend.
