is YG the main factor of iKON's downfall ?

well they had bad management and heavily focused on promoting and revolving the group around 2 members, at the same time not many groups could go on after BI's scandal and, someone correct me if im wrong, they were shipped to japan after he tested positive for drugs which is not companies fault

I think in the end was half/half, YG didnt really care about Ikon as a group and the group didnt really went ride or die as a unit

Ikon had an amazing debut but YG ruined their momentum with a year wait for their next comeback. When they finally managed to build themselves up with Love Scenario and their other 2018 comebacks B.I was forced to leave due to his scandal. Or more accurately, due to Seungri’s scandal. If it wasn’t for Seungri’s scandal and YG wanting to avoid any further controversies at any cost B.I would most likely have stayed in iKon.

So after that iKon’s momentum was ruined for the second time and now they had also lost one of their most talented and popular members who was also the leader of the group AND their main producer. Combined with not being a new group anymore they were just kinda screwed.

I just call YGent the graveyard of talented idols.

In a way yes, 1 year of absent from Korea market and then they tour in Japan consecutively so domestic popularity started dropping massively.. It was made worst with YG scandal and forcing B.I to leave..

Bad management, group was centred around only two members and outdated concepts and title tracks after debut era (besides LS obviously) I hope they try something out of the box for their new group.
