The New Girl Group is a mystery. I've heard as many as 10 and as few as 4.

You could even look at older YG groups like 1Tym or Big Mama which had 4 members each, but they aren't idol groups.

TREASURE is really a change up for YG.

It has always been that way.

The top groups of 3rd gens are all 4-6 members except Twice obvs but then we are looking at Momoland? Who else? Gfriend is borderline 6 members. IOI? IZ*ONE? Kepler? All produce groups
