As a child, I often read the Donald Duck magazines, or at least Anders And & Co as it is called in Danish.
Heck, when I was younger I kind of wanted to be like Gyro Gearloose because he was an inventor and I thought it sounded like a cool job.
and I remember watching a video where children react to Ducktales and they were being like "Who are they?"
I was surprised that they didn't know about some of the characters.
After about 2000 American children began to be abused by an absence of Saturday Morning Cartoons and an After school cartoon schedule. I think it's why they are angry. Not growing up with Duck Tails, Tail Spin and Animainiacs is Abusive.

The ducklings' mother name is Della Duck, while the father is kind of mysterious.
The ducklings placed firecrackers under their father's chair as a prank and he ended up in hospital, which I think is why Donald took care of them.
I've always found Donald Duck annoying asf so I know I wouldn't have enjoyed that 
I have sometimes watched Ducktales on Toon Disney when I was younger.
And for someone who is more familiar with the comics, it was strange to hear some of the characters' voices because they sound sometimes different from how I imagined it.
Well... Gladstone Gander is Donald's lucky cousin. (sometimes Donald is unlucky and they fight over Daisy)
