My recommendations are BTS, TVXQ, Shinee, Infinite, B2st (now Highlight).

I know you said you won't start by BTS because they're "the obvious" but if you think like that you might miss on a great vast discography

I recommend also the rapline solo works: Indigo, Jack in the Box, Hope World, mono, D-2, and Agust D. They're high quality works.
