Why do groups rarely cover 2NE1 despite their popularity?

I'm sure it's down to multiple factors but I also think their music (the hype ones people would be more likely to cover) just didn't age well.

The idea it's down to not being able to emulate the performance levels is pretty ridiculous when Big Bang get covered despite being better performers and all their scandals.

It’s probably the copyright reason. I’m sure there’s many times where people have wanted to cover 2ne1 songs.
