What Korean boy group is most comparable to Arashi?

Arashi is Japan’s National boy group since 1999 when they debuted, they are loved to an unbelievable level in Japan. Still getting hit song after hit song and insane album sales decades into their career.

Not only do they have a very dedicated core fandom spanning multiple generations, they are also beloved by the public (GP)

They promoted and released music all these years to optimal results, releasing very frequent music and variety show activities together.

The group only started taking a break after late 2020.

I know them because my mom is a longtime fan lol, they got literally every generation of fans, it’s crazy.

Do you think any boy group from Korea can achieve a similar success streak?

Do bigbang produce very consistent content together? Arashi had a kind of career where it was constant contents (almost like twice level). But I definitely agree that bb is most beloved by the GP, they also have the added factor of military service which naturally means they can’t be as consistent.

Shinee seem to be very active still too, I always see they have new content for their fans.

That’s why I think shinee may be more comparable to Arashi overall, it’s the string of being constantly active and successful. Big bang has the GP but due to scandals like mona said, they haven’t really been as active. Although they could continue to release music and it will always do well gp wise. So it’s tricky to choose

They actually are the most "content" YGE group, they really have a lot of contents, but after 2016 things started going bad and in 2019 things got way worse.

I said them bc they debuted in 2006 and even this cb they got the support hence them being behind just Ive and Idle in the year end charts, but unfortunately i think they'll focus in their solo careers now, this was probably their last cb.

Yep, their comeback did extremely well. I hope they comeback as a group sometime too, they’re good individually too but they work like magic together.
