What if one of the big 3 labels debuted a trot group? Big 3 privilege is huge and many people would automatically stan just because they were from SM, JYP, or Hybe. And then the GP old people would appreciate a trot group being pushed forward and would definitely stan. I think this would make international fans appreciate trot more and that sub-genre of Korean music would explode (which may not be a great best thing because trot songs kinda sound similar). If they promoted them like a regular group the only difference was the music. I think they'd be huge cause they'd unite the old and the new generation. Thing is only a big 3 label could pull it off (and really imo only SM or Hybe)
Would this be innovative?

Well... I know that Super Junior had a trot sub-unit, which was Super Junior-T.
But that is a bit different.

Would it seem "inauthentic" to the GP this way?

If the music was good I don't think they'd care

That was eons ago though, Kpop has expanded since

I think it would be a lot of fun to see a full fledged trot idol group.
Superfive's song was so fun.
