The prices here are insane. Things we need like dairy and fruit, veg seem to go up every time I go into my local supermarket. It's putting strain on all Australian families and there's worse to come. Our floods haven't helped either. I'm working and I'm even feeling the pinch.
How are the grocery prices where you live now?

Even where I live goverment said groceries have gone up by 8 percent which is fucking bullshit.
Almost everything cost twice as much as it did a year ago.
I used to comfortably spend 200 bucks monthly and even buy myself treats.
Now 350 barely cuts the essentials
Idk how people feed their kids
The worst thing in our country are electricity bills. Electricity is like 6-8x more expensive than what it was year ago because of Ukrainian war.

The most of products are 10 - 30% more expensive. Flour is highest + 45%
Inflation in our country is around 8% which is lower than average in eu. Interesting part is that our neighbouring country Estonia got over 20% inflation and their groceries are even more expensive than ours. We used to buy cheap product from Estonia before, but now they come our country to buy cheaper product.
1. Where did I learn to spell boddles... I feel so stupid.
2. Remember when you used to be able to eat your self sick for like 5 bucks at taco bell?
3. The US could help bring down WORLD WIDE energy costs but Biden is a bitch. I'm not angry and bitter... really I'm not...
-
I wouldn't say double but definiately more expensive - maybe 20-30%
-
expensive but i get discounts for working at one
-
For me, it depends on where I shop. Prices definitely have gone up but luckily I find that most groceries are still affordable for me
-
BTW can we sue the bastard who decided that inflation happens so they will stop?
Blame the money printing and the stimulus checks and state money during the pandemic. Also, politicians and big companies are interested in inflation, the higher the prices the more money they both collect.

I always keep the tickets and in the whole month of november I spent almost 500€ in the supermarket, this is twice what I used to spend only two years ago and around 30% than only 6 months ago. I've never seen this in my whole life.

Too expensive, I'm getting scammed everyday
