Did mah girl Morissette singlehandedly end Hyorin, Ailee and Jessie?

    Went on another Morissette binge and ended up with YT algorithm sending me this Bang Bang cover by three titans of Kpop, Hyorin, Ailee and Jessie. Hugely popular cover with 11 million views, i kinda discounted it at first, but the girls did a really good job, especially Hyorin.

    But the question is, did they do a better job than Morissette, who did all three parts by herself? To me, this is still the definitive cover of Bang Bang, Morissette Amon is the OG Slayer, don't let her cover your songs cause she's gonna outshine even your polished up studio versions X( .

    I've mentioned her previous dalliances with Kpop and Korean music. She appeared in the 2017 and 2018 Asia Song Festivals with groups like EXO, RV, Momoland, and was even congratulated in person by Seventeen who were left speechless by her vocals. She sang covers of Big Mama's "Resignation", part English, part Korean, even a trilingual cover with Tagalog added in.


    It is my dream to see her make a splash in the Kpop scene. Seems she is content to focus mostly on her home country, especially with the pandemic, but i remain ever hopeful that she gets to feature in something cool with a bigtime Kpop group. Although i wonder if anyone in Korea would dare to try the share the same stage as her, many many singers, especially dudes, have tried but have been found wanting 8| .
