What does Izone have that separates them from IOI, Wanna One, X1, Kep1er?

  • All the other Produce groups flop post disband (Wanna One, IOI), got disbanded from debut (X1) or go downwards every comeback (Kep1er). But Izone was leader while active and continue to be leaders now with Ive, Lsrfm. Is it the members, luck or something else that save Izone from Produce curse?

    DIA has Chaeyeon from IOI

    Approved the thread.
  • I don't see how X1 can be relevant here at all, they were barely a group.

For the others it was all about timing.

IOI/W1 groups were coming out during peak 3rd gen dominance. Izone groups started coming out towards the tail-end of 3rd gen gg's careers where they are all less active and moving onto other areas of their career. Kpop growing globally has also massively helped newer groups as the pool of fans is so much larger.

  • they were a gg and they were formed and disbanded at the right time, that's it I believe.

Post Wanna One bgs' fandoms are full of akgaes, and their companies depend too much on the produce members.

It's only normal that X1 who disbanded after months never established a fandom to support the nugu bgs following their disbandment.

post-ioi groups never had a chance to compete with Twice, RV, and BP at the time. On top of that they mostly had pretty shitty management: Pledis gave up on Pristin likely because they didn't believe they could make the same profit as Seventeen, Jellyfish never promoted Gugudan then disbanded them after the effects of the lacking promo were evident, Fantagio also doesn't promote Weki Meki that well. Starship and Hybe on the other hand are invested in IVE and Lesserafim.

  • Here is what I think

    • IOI: The members aren't from big companies. I guess Somi was the only exception, but she left JYP and has since moved to the Black Label
    • Wanna One: Their members aren't from big companies. The only artists that I think got really popular was Kang Daniel, CIX, and AB6IX
    • IZ*ONE: There were members from AKB48 and HKT48. Plus, they were from big companies. That may the reason LE SSERAFIM, IVE, and Kwon Eunbi and popular.
    • X1: members aren't from big companies. Majority of groups released loud, boy group music in which gg stans hate and bg stans love. Cravity and WeI are the only one's that are really relevant in the industry. (Also, there are more times where I think Minhee is from Cravity than a former member of X1)
    • Kep1er: music wasn't really popular with people.

I think that's the reasons why
