2nd gen idols are known to be more popular/well-known amongst the general public, and a lot were able to make a name for themselves as household names. Names like IU, Suzy, Taeyeon, Yoona, Apink members, Sistar members etc.

Which 3rd gen idols would you say are legit household names, and are commonly known by the public, and not just the Kpop crowd?

Popularity with GP from outside music comes mostly from TV - variety and dramas etc., that is how IU, Suzy, Yoona and others built their brand

In the 3rd gen, at this point the most successful such case is Sejeong.
