Aot is my first anime and I’m still half way through season 3 but I really don’t understand why Levi is so popular. Before I started aot I thought he was the main guy but he’s not. He looks cool and does cool stuff but I don’t see something that distinguish him from other characters. What am I missing?

Armin is the best character indeed, he's the main in my heart. I remember the sh!t I was getting for being a fan of him since episode 1

He's not my favorite chara, but I understand why people love him.

I only watched season 1, Mikasa is my favorite.

His most definitive scene is actually the season 3 part 2 finale. So get to that.

He's not a superficial character, as far as I can remember. Clever and meticulous character. He also has a fearless and responsibility character. He does whatever needs to be done. He even saved the main character.

i haven't watched AOT so i don't know his character. look-wise, he isn't really attractive to me; i'm not a big fan of guys who seem stoic and expressionless. he looks like he's mad all the time.. i haven't seen a picture of him without the "" expression. subtle smirks, smiles and gestures are what REALLY get me

The main factor is that Levi's voice actor is the best in the anime industry. Every character automatically sounds impressive when you hear his voice. If you haven't watched it, I recommend it. Levi is a solid character.

Levi attracts a mostly female audience, and that's a fact. He just differs from the other characters in his character and appearance. That's why he's so attractive to girls. Well I like Armin better. LOL.
