Do Kpop companies really make a huge amount of money in China?

  • The difference is even though we hate Japan because of alot of past issues including ww2 . Atlest Japan is not hostile to us and does engage in favorable trading and is willing to participate in military alliances. On the other hand China is literally an enemy of South Korea, they prop up support and defend the kim regime in the North and has intervened in the Korean war to make our nation separate. We have no love for China.

In addition to it's recent troubles it has caused us has moved China to a point its just as much if not more hated than Japan plus considering the fact it's a hostile nation to us many folk are not too against having China turned into a nuclear hellscape. Years ago people would be disgusted at the idea. Now? That's starting to change to be more accepting. This has become more apparent as newer provocations over this week and the past few months from the north is a reminder of that including a ballistic missile that landed less than 60km from our shore it was enough that the first time in a literal decade that we were forced out of homes and wherever and rushed to underground bomb shelters. Those air raid sirens always make the hair on your skin stand up. Everytime shit like that happens people say "yea they continue this because China coddles them fuck China "

But yes kpop and many other industries make alot of money which is why so many bend over backwards for some Chinese Yuan, but with everything going on is starting to get agencies and artists to distance themselves from China. Including sm entertainment and LSM he wouldn't talk about China right now when literally yesterday north Korea fired a fucking missile that landed nearby and everyone knows they do it because China always supports them.

    Oohhh

    So Thats the difference :o

Its unfortunate that China continues to act this way

Thank you for the explanation, I hope that missile didn't land too close to you guys

  • Yes ultimately the goal is to have our country become whole again, many generations of families were separated during the war and they badly want to be together again. The council for reunification's primary objective is a peaceful reunion. Without Kim being around we likely will have s better chance. Korea being a whole country again is a matter of when not if. We hope we won't have to fight another war to do it, even though we are prepared to fight north Korea, the reality is most people don't want to because at the end of the day they are our people even if they are under the control of some clown 🤡

I hope that Day Will come for Your People

    Peaceful Reunion isn't easy

I always thought the world didn't want to start a war with North Korea cause of the nuclear weapons they have despite being a small nation being Hosted by the biggest Clown :pepe-clown-walk:

I hope North American soldiers can also aid to the South Korean Soldiers to help Your people be free of sigoltteugi-Jong-un :pepe-hehe:

But i can't even imagine how hard it will be for those who are trapped there to adapt to a new way of living after never getting to live much of a life in the first place, that would have to be one of the hardest parts for when the day comes when you can bring them into a new lifestyle that they never knew they could have :emotionalpepe:

One of my Favorite Youtubers is actually Half Korean, His Mother actually lived in North Korea before the war, she and her family fled from the northern region to the south (they made it, this happened before he was born, i assume this happened when she was a kid) and her documentary about her story is being released on November 13th

It's a process but it's well documented. The government has an entire task force dedicated to north korean refugee's these people go through a naturalization process to become south korean citizens, they are brought up to speed about current events the culture and traditions of the day and how to live in society they are introduced to modern medicine foods etc and have direct access to government assistance if adjusting is becoming hard they are offered counseling including mental health services. Housing is provided for them until they feel comfortable with taking care of that themselves. Everything is done to show them life is better on the other side. They are not prisoners either they are allowed to send money etc back to their families and they can leave whenever they want. There is a vettin process to ensure the people in question aren't spies

That sounds like a really thought-out system and I'm glad refugees can get the help that they need :uwu-party-bee:

I just hope everyone can be rescued in the near future

  • I don't think it matters. Cfans mostly buy from stores like kt4u. Companies get their money when they sell their albums to these stores and then it doesn't matter the country of the person who then buys it.

The topic is clearly discussing Digital Sales from chinese platforms, not album purchases.

    Example -

Blackpink's Born Pink sold 840k Digital Copies

Gidle's I Never Die sold 540k Digital Copies

    Gidle's I Love sold 400k Digital Copies

Taeyeon's INVU sold 100k Digital Copies

Those are items purchased from Chinese Platforms digitally.

  • I don't think OP was talking about digital sales specifically. Cause if they were then it's kind of an irrelevant question. Digital sales don't really make up a significant portion of profits from music sales in any region.

IN china. not FROM china. IN china means ... well it means exactly that. IN China.

If they wanted to count physical album sales they would have said "From China".

It's the title of the post.
