I hear you. I’d definitely put Taemin in that list - because he continues to do some really different things and push the boundaries of Kpop.

I didn’t personally care for Suho’s music but it was certainly well crafted.

Kai and Baekhyun definitely brought some exceptional no skip albums. Baek being the consummate all rounder performer and delivering some gorgeous modern melange of r&b, Lo-fi and jazz, while Jongin really applied his emphasis on artistry to the visual aspect of videos and performances in a really unique way, while working on his honing his vocals for a strong delivery.

Ikr i'm really scared for KJI2 because I know how high Kai's standards are. His debut album is probably my favorite exo solo album next to baekhyun's delight/Japanese mini.

Lay I know went for something really different with his LIT EP. Using traditional chinese elements and instruments and fused with hip hop, some trap which I thought was really cool. He also spent a lot towards his music video (I think it was over $20mill) and the production behind the album which shows how much he cares about his overall artistry, or as he called it "his own child"

Its also so cool all his song titles are single chinese letters

Same. Foe me his album is out there with Suho as the two best albums released by EXO members.

I really liked Baek's solo Japanese debuts. His Korean solos are good too but they dont score as high with me.
