The current system requiring ideological conformity isn't working - we'll see how many of those current blue checks can actually afford $8/month.

The fact that he's trying to make this into a class thing but it's really a meaningless, flawed business idea.

Also, the real reason why verification exist is to protect ppl and not just to be purchased by anyone etc.

This is important, will anyone be able to verify their profiles JUST by paying? Or there will be a way to make them verify that they're who they claim to be. As if we didn't get enough scammers. The more I think about this idea, the more stupid it seems to me.

From what I have seen of his new plan is that it’s more of a subscription than a real authentication verification and no ID needed - so yah - terrible
