What's your take on this claim?

real leather is organic material and it will decompose eventually

fake leather will not

In general organic material clothing such as cotton, silk and leather will cost alot more but the will last longer. The fashion industry had lower impact on envoiroment when we used only organic materials. All these polyester stuff are polluting the world.

Most leather nowadays is treated in a way that makes it not biodegradable as far as I know.

All I know is that I've been careful about taking care of plastic things ever since I heard about how long it takes to biodegrade them...
