I actually thought so too.

I'm not really into them, but they can change concept. Y2K is not the cutest aesthetic anyway.

Min hee Jin probably has something up her sleeve, but I do wonder if nj might end up like the 4th gen version of twice. Does really well early on but falls off a bit as the group gets older.

Whenever your image and popularity is hinged on youth then every passing year is an obstacle. Their image of youth and freshness has an expiration date that will come sooner than later. Hopefully the members take advantage of their current trendiness and branch out with a lot of solo gigs to build individual brands.

BTS never had a concept. They had trilogies that reflected what they were experiencing. They were teenagers who struggled with the typical growing pains of most people.
NJ has an SM style concept masterminded by MHJ. It’s not authentic, relatable, or involves much input from the members. NJ Y2K Lolita concept is just MHJ reliving her youth as she wanted it to be similar to the movies she likes.

gross, they don't have a lolita concept and people are eating it up so what do you mean "not relatable" lol
and yes BTS had a youth concept. They debuted as rebellious youths wth the SCHOOL trilogy and then followed up with the whole angsty emo boy trilogy. If that's not a youth concept idk what is. They had zero issues transitioning from that.

The girls just look so young to me. I know they're young but they look even younger than their ages if that's possible. Hybe might have the luxury of using their high school Y2K concept for several years at this point, they won't need to worry about transitioning them out of this extremely lucrative and successful concept.

Exactly, BTS's youth concept span across several years ( Trilogies as you said) And what about those uniforms they wore while dancing in many earlier MVs?
And those lyrics about youth?
Njs just debut, the concept was just for one album. can't you wait?
'Lolita'? I think this is just got projection on them.

This so much, this group is more about MHJ's taste than the members themselves. We'll see how their future unfolds.

The only one projecting is MHJ. NJ is an ego project for her, it’s why she is so defensive about their concept. NJ is a literal Lolita concept because they are actually underage. A lot of GG do Lolita but as adults wearing school girl uniforms etc. It is a popular concept pushed by old men. NJ just one ups ut by using real underage girls. The “unnies” are using BH to relive they own youth just like MHJ. I pity people who are so obsessed with youth that they feel the need to relive it.
BTS were youths when they did their first 2 trilogy but in case you haven’t noticed, their topics grew with them because no one was obsessed with being young. They wrote about the insecurities and issues that people their own age faced, not about wanting attention from a crush, confessing their feelings to a hype boy, then offering their cookie to their lover/ crush. That is what happens in all Lolita type movies. Underage girls exploring their sexual power and being portrayed far more maturely that what is realistic. In real life, kids displaying sexual maturity are usually victims. I have a problem with the entertainment industry glamorizing this issue. I can’t get on board NJ because of that and I don’t really care for how kpop fans like to justify it either.

you have issues
there's no problem with singing about a crush as a teenager. Cookie was a bad choice every other song from New jeans is completely fine. Their styling, choreo etc is less sexy than Ive, yet I don't see people constantly accusing them of being "lolita". Also Ive fanbase is 50% men and New Jeans is mostly women so...sounds like you're projecting.
BTS literally sang about being hormonal around pretty girls and "I need you girl" I can only imagine if New Jeans had a song like that you would be screaming for the police
