Audience like bright pop songs or hype songs from bts. Imagine bp releasing stay or you never know as tt lol. They would have flopped massively not just in kcharts but everywhere. But the reality is they would never take that kinda risk cos they are too chart focused.

    The BGs just dont have consistently good music to sustain interest. I used to casual listen to most 2nd gen BG and believe me, their music were miles better than the current ones who are only focusing on dance and performance.

    Your gross exaggeration based on only your opinion is pretty inaccurate. Insecure men like Big Bang, Zico, Crush, etc. because they aren’t seen as flower boys and not the “ typical” kpop idols. All of which is not true. They are as Kpop as BTS. Insecure men can enjoy Kpop music but it has to be under the toxic masculinity persona otherwise it’s “ gay”. GG only stans are some of the worse kpop fans I’ve ever encountered.

    Why do you expect men to enjoy "flower boys" as much as they enjoy pretty ladies? What does it have to do with "insecurities"? With all the different ggs, from nugus to popular ones, and the legion of bands from other genres that I listen to, my plate is already full.


    I can enjoy songs from bgs alright, but it's rare that I enjoy multiple songs from the same album.

    And I just don't connect with bgs as much. The whole parasocial thing doesn't work as well. I don't really care about their aspirations, their dreams, their struggles, their stories... I wish them well but I don't feel like I have to take on the mission of making them successful.
