most second renewals I've heard are for three years...
does anybody know the current duration of the contract renewal?
No one knows. I don't even think that sort of information can be legally disclosed to the public. So I think that we should go with the flow and enjoy the years that we have left with Twice. I mean, BTS renewed their contracts in 2018 and it's been 4 years.
But look at SHINee. They renewed their contracts twice, once in 2014 after being active for 6 years, and another renew in 2018.

Yep! So I guess we'll find out in the next few years.
People often mistake all contract renewals to be the full 7 years. It just depends on what's on the new contract and it seems that the only way we can find out is with time.
