I feel like Blinks are living in another world from the rest of fandoms

    When everyone is hyped for their favs' red carpet appearance and performances at many award shows, or just music festivals in general; Blinks can only hype up their favs at some fashion week events... i can't imagine being Blinks tbh ;(

    I don't think so. I think it's more that they are seen as extensions of their fandom, a large portion of which are girls from SEA who live vicariously through them.

    Fashion show in paris is way bigger than rigged show red carpet. Like you won't hype up your favourite idol going to fashion week.

    Blinks also actually listen to BP's music and stream their performances (hylt dance alone outstreams your favs whole discography) instead of just bulk buying for photocards ^^

    Pretty much. I’ve followed Bp closely since their debut but dropped them since it hasnt been fun or worth it. They barely make music/comebacks when they’re supposed to be a music group and you get absolutely NOTHING for content. They’re perfect for the casuals but that’s about it.

    the reality is they do better music cos they don´t release so often. they music is related to quality and popularity, so brands want that. And that makes them even more visible to people, cos top influencers attracks more attention. wich gives more visibility to their music. And at the end they do less work and get more money....how is that bad :whatr:

    i, as a fan would rather have more content, of course. But i like the quality. Maybe YG could send them to awards shows for the sake of fans, only that i would ask. But downplay them for going to fashion shows, when people then are so proud that Yoona from SNSD went too...you are a bunch of hypocrites

    To fans maybe. In all of the western coverage I've seen for PFW not one of them mentioned your girls. Didn't even know they had attended until this thread and I'm in the kpop world. So they're not getting as much media coverage as you think they are outside the kpop bubble.

    Well they have to, their faves don't care about them and prefer being ig models or partying with other celebs

    Watch them cry when brands drop them for new yg gg.

    Award shows etc are great for newer kpop groups to show themselves but love them or hate them, everyone who's into kpop already knows Blackpink.


    PFW etc on the other hand (besides those sweet appearance fees) serves as a bridge to those millions of people following fashion whom aren't into kpop to check them out on Spotify etc.

    I don't think it's quality to have to wait 2 years for ratatas and bragging about having fashion deals in your lyrics but since most Blinks live vicariously through BP, then I get why you like it.

    Blinks always say they prefer it that way compared to what other ggs do but then we all have to get them complain and even harass other groups for having comebacks. So what's the truth?

    As I said, the problem with BP is that 90% of their content it's photoshoots and fashion gigs. So this is why people can't take then seriously.

    And the fact that their performances were lackluster even after having years to practice, then you get why people think like that.

    Kinda sad blinks had only a few award performances to watch. Maybe they will be invited to AMA or Grammy this year.
