    first of all, this thread is stupid because Billlie is actually pretty loved by people aside from SM stans. second, Billlie is under a subsidiary of SM entertainment known as Mystic Story, but I'm sure OP already knew that if they are aware Billlie is under SM, but its pretty obvious SM works differently with their subsidiaries (i'd assume its mostly because they're an older company in comparsion to HYBE, as OP mentioned). Woolim Entertainment is another one and it has artists (im sure you guys have all heard of) such as drippin, lovelyz, rocket punch, and golden child.


    anyway, idk and don't really care why. my point is: billlie does not need SM stans to be loved & supported. and they are definitely not flops. I think they're still a great girl group, and definitely much better than some other groups from 4th gen that i've seen. :nct41:

    Billlie is different from SM groups. Sometimes I can imagine Red Velvet singing some of their songs, but aside from that, they differ from the SM image and sound.


    Let's remember the main reason why people become company stans in the first place is for similarities in music, vibes, and identity, contrary to popular belief.

    idk man hybe has convinced these people that they need to put food on the table of any strays they pick up.


    If I'm listening to billlie it's bc I like their songs not bc of their tangential relationship to sm.

    i definitely think hybe stans are a lot more passionate about other groups than SM stans are. also i don't get why op is saying SM stans are doing it wrong and then comparing it to how hybe is doing it. weirdly phrased imo. what does what the company stans do have anything to do with the promotion by another company to a group that's basically not involved at all with either companies? :enhypen-drag:

    consider it a blessing, i love what billlie is doing.
