S tier marketing, good choreo, easy listening music in a suitable vocal range.
I'm confused. What does this have to do with idols hyping up NJ over Ive?

Besides if they are already the biggest, there's not much point to hyping them up more

Marketing- Idols think the group is fresh, new, etc. Generates hype
Easy listening music- easy to cover, easy to sing- easy to like, easy to hype. Notice how they always sing the one attention line for 6 seconds
Choreo- Big, flashy slow moves combined with lots of hair flinging make for better videos
People hype what they like and in this instance, NJ happens to hit hard amongst the idol community.
Not that after like isn't doing well but Ive have been around for a year. People gravitate towards what's new. Otherwise people would be hyping up snsd, twice, and bp more as well... and they are. It's just that NJ is the flavor of the month (even tho they debuted in Aug).
newjeans are young girls with fresh, teen image. Their songs are easy to listen and their choreos fun. I think the celebrities feel like they are little sisters, easy to like.Even is IVE is as young, they don’t have that vibe. IVE seems more polished and sexier (they are great at facial expressions with come hither looks)
Fresher? Wut? It's literally 90s RnB rehashed.

there's nothing new under the sun, this sounds fresh to the current generation
Because NJ songs, have been a change in direction when it comes to music, promotion etc., whereas IVE is just another peak in the existing trajectory/direction.
IVE is the just the recent leader of a huge herd stampede, whereas NJ is taking a diversion and might alter the overall direction as well, as others try replicate them.
Hence..
