Real quick question about comebacks and music show performances, particularly "The Show"

  • I know it varies by groups etc but generally, how many weeks in a row do groups perform on music shows these days and whats the delay between release and appearance?

So like basically, I'll be in Korea late October. I know LSF and Idle are having comebacks October 17th (and Dreamcatcher possibly around then). I can purchase tickets to SBS The Show, but only for the Tuesday November 1 show. The week before, Tuesday Oct 24th aren't available.

IF I get Nov 1 tickets, whats the chances of LSF/Idle performing that night? Or would it be pointless and theyd be done by then?

  • I feel like most groups will try to do 2-4 weeks and tend towards longer periods the less famous the group is, which I guess is kinda obvious.

Idk if you've already done research, but I-DLE has been doing 3 weeks of promotion for Oh My God, Hwaa, maybe 2-3 for Tomboy. However, for these comebacks they only went on The Show once each time, for OMG it was in Week 3, Hwaa it was in week 2, Tomboy it was in Week 1. So they would probably go on The Show once, but it's probably luck/unpredictable whether that will be Oct. 24 or Nov. 1 or even Nov. 8.

LS, I feel like they should have at least 2 weeks for their comeback promotions, cause I don't think they're at the stage where they just do 1 week yet. They went on The Show 3 out of 4 weeks for Fearless. Gfriend (Source Music) was on the Show 2 times for Mago, 1 time for Apple (promotions ended before the second possible time), 2 times for Crossroads. So it seems like they both go on The Show almost as much as the other music shows. So I feel like LS should be on The Show in week 2 if there is a week 2.

Edit: I didn't answer about the delay, I think that it's usually at least 1 day, and actually a lot of groups seem to try to wait to do their first stage on M Countdown (Thurs) specifically, maybe cause The Show (Tue) and Show Champion (Wed) aren't as flashy. LS seemed to do this for Fearless, and I feel like they might also do it for their next comeback too.
