I don’t mean how they got the deal. I don’t understand how they are allowed to give such a huge benefit to certain artists when it also has an impact on other charts like billboard? Surely that would be considered chart manipulation?

I didn’t even know this was a thing that Spotify did for other artists since I only follow kpop and I haven’t seen any other kpop groups have this deal. For anyone who does it would be considered chart manipulation no? It’s literally an unfair advantage that they give to artists of their choosing.

I could understand if they had a deal where you can listen to the album without premium and not get ads but surely being able to listen to it for free and still have that count the same as a premium stream is a bit much.
