• I love Tzus voice so much. Her melody project made me a fan, I also loved her voice in QoHs, the part where she sings "so bright" lol

I know she's not a vocal position but I really hope for a solo one day

I know, right? Her voice is really pretty. I actually love her vocal color and I believe her vocal color has always been one of my favorites in the group. And also, that "so bright" reminds me of her first performance in SIXTEEN (the way she says "sway" is similar to the way she sang "bright" in QoH)...she's improved so much and I'm so proud of her.

    :sadr:

Like you don't even have to be an expert on anything singing to tell that she's more stable and has better technique now.

  • I wonder if its also accent. Different Asians have different "English accents", maybe I'm accustomed to the Chinese English accent but yes, I love it...

  • I thought it's perfect for the song. It actually makes the song pop...I truly like it better than doing what they usually do in title tracks where another member re-sings the main part of the chorus but in a different way. (best way I could describe it but hopefully you can tell what I mean)

I thought it was a unique twist and now, I can't imagine the song without it. It also contains their highlight choreo part that they always have. You know how Nayeon has her popping balloon choreo that went viral or the Fancy "I love you" sign dance? It's kind of like that but harder tbh

Hmmm I like different member singing the chorus the second timr cuz it is normally either Jeongyeon or Mina's

Ah, it could be that. I'm not familiar with every accent but I can tell that when Tzuyu speaks she has sort of a Chinese accent. Or so I think...I could be wrong.

But I think I heard it when she was introducing herself in SIXTEEN.

  • OOOOOO that video...gave me so much instant satisfaction the second I clicked it...the first few seconds :pepemusic:

There was a comedian that did a really good difference in accent between the different Asian races but I can't find it now lol

    Nooo LMAO :cryingr:

That's actually the first time I've seen you talk about IGBAS in a while...I'm surprised!! :whatk:

That reminds me...I was watching that iconic IGBAS performance because why not and I was reading through the comment section and came across a reply from someone that said "no, it was a joke song" and then someone corrected them and was like "no, it was used as the theme song from SIXTEEN before it was adapted for Twice" XD

Also, this is the first time I'm realizing that she actually did speak Mandarin instead of Korean lmao...I can't believe I didn't realize that before. ;(

Maybe I'm just not used to Tzuyu speaking Mandarin? :pepe-shrug:

    Huh, interesting! :/

I don't know, I think accents in general are really interesting :pleading:

  • Pop! and the entire B12 album has been occupying my mind. It's been such a good year....their solo (Nayeon) was amazing, their Japanese release Celebrate album was amazing, and B12 their Korean album, is amazing.

My favorite solo (only solo so far), favorite Japanese album, favorite Korean album all came out within the last 365 days lol.

Their best music has been recent for me, I don;t need to talk about IGBAS as much anymore lol

Oh my goodness, you are so incredibly right there! I can't stop listening to the tracks in B12. This is easily my favorite mini album released by Twice to date. Nayeon album was good, but I listened to it so much and it's harder because it's only Nayeon's voice. All really good tracks though. Celebrate album was a masterpiece. It's definitely one of my favorite full albums because of the tracks alone. :pleading:

Oh, interesting! I actually didn't know how highly regarded you have these albums! I couldn't tell you my favorites until I go back and re-listen to it all but by album instead of by song.

That's great to hear. I'm VERY glad to hear that, actually :pepe-smug:

Let's hope it stays that way

  • Actually to be fair, I told you before, I wasn't in love with Nayeon's album lol. I only loved Pop! and No Problem...
It's my "favorite solo" album by default being the only solo

Don't touch my Once card but... my early Once-Blink, I always said I love BP because every song is good even b-side and I used to say that Twice I only like their title tracks, majority of the bsides I don't like but boy have things changed so much now, their bsides are title track quality, especially B12.

But yes, IM Nayeon, Celebrate, and B12 are my favorite solo/Japanese/Korean albums released by Twice so far.

  • OHHH so you literally meant singing the second chorus of the song as a whole??? :whatk:

Okay, I just interpreted it wrong this whole time... :waterr:

I literally thought you meant the second part of the chorus.

    Sorry!! :cryingr:

Ah, I see. That makes sense. Nvm though.

Though if I were you, I would actually not put an album that I didn't enjoy anywhere the word "favorite", even if it was the only one of its categories. But I understand what you mean.

I was trying so hard not to get angry while reding that 2nd part :mads:

Haha but who am I talking? I literally was a Twice anti before becoming a fan... ;(

But yeah, Twice's b-sides have definitely increased in production quality throughout the years. It's actually my guilty pleasure to listen to their very classic b-sides but you can tell the difference for sure. Their songs sound so, so much better now music wise than they did a few years ago. And I'm not even talking about how technology has advanced since Twice's debut; I'm talking about how their songs literally sound better musically.

Huh, that's interesting! I also think that it's very interesting how you say that Between 1&2 is your favorite album out of all of the Korean albums despite it being only an EP. What would you say was your favorite K-album before it?

  • Oh, when I say album, I really mean full album or EP.

I didn't really have a favorite one before. I usually go by the % of songs I like.

B12 I liked every single song, thus is my favorite album so far. 100% like.

Before B12 came out, I really only liked 2-3 songs each album.

My favorite before is probably Twicetagram because the most amount of favorite b-sides was in it.

Turtle, Missing You, 24/7, Love Line, You In My Heart are all in my list of top 10 Twice bsides. So thats like 50% of my favorite old bsides is in this album alone.

The remainder of my top 10 bsides is Precious Love, 1-10, Like A Fool (my absolute favorite), One In A Million, and I forgot the 10th one.

But thats 1 in Page Two, 2 in Twicecoaster, 1 in The Story Begins.

    So Twicetagram is best
