Netizens say that SM Entertainment basically raised the NCT Dream members

  • "It feels like just yesterday when we gave milk [cartons] to our little Dreamies, but it's a new feeling to be able to congratulate you on your stadium concert and gift you with champagne🙁"

    So emotional :pleading:

  • Some might see this as bad that basically a company raised these kids instead of their parents. This applies to all kpop idols not just NCT. For some of these kids this was a good thing. Something fans overlook is the personal life of these idols some unfortunately do come from broken homes and broken families or those desperately poor, Korea isn't like the usa there's not many social programs/safety net services. Thus being at the company maybe their only source of safety or comfort. Some of these groups develop deep bounds to the point of family some are very happy for the opportunity, there's been many of times idols have expressed being lonely or felt unattended to but that went away once they were in the group/ company. You can look at many of these idols talk about how they being a only child wish they had a brother etc and now suddenly they have that and are truly happy for it.

Depending on the agency and group many of the staff is very good towards them. Some idols actually love their manager because in many cases he was basically their father. Teaches them, helps them with school work be it middle/highschool and college. Feed them Care for them when sick or hurt. Protect them and comfort them. Managers get paid and can be replaced but some of them have been with idols since their childhood and have taken care of them this way that the company aspect doesn't matter to them, to that idol you are just as much their dad and will treat you that way even if you quit the job.

The kpop industry can suck alot but sometimes it does do a good thing

i think they meant in the sense that their senior artists watch them grow. nct dream was in the spotlight years before they debut so a lot of the staff and even older artists took care of them. from what i know, and the stories all of the dreamies have shared, they definitely had to sacrifice a lot in terms of having regular childhood, but i do know all of the guys have loving families who supported them very much as well as being supported by staff and other artists. they were much more lenient on them compared to the older nct members and it shows how they were always treated like that. there are so many cute videos of them from the smrookies time. im sure you can find some if you search up smrookies on youtuber! regardless they all worked incredibly hard to get where they are, and i think this an appreciation for everything they've accomplished over the years. ^^

Well they ment the same thing 😂 because these people literally did raise them lol and yes we know NCT has loving families. What talked about doesn't apply to them but there are plenty of idols it does apply to. Especially Alot of the nugu ones nobody pays attention to

tbh im not sure what you were talking about or what to say, but i didn't want to ignore it since you put some thought into writing it ^^

yeah, it is sad what a lot of idols go through during their trainee periods but this was just an appreciation type thread for the dreamies and their growth :itzy7:
