    Why is Nayeon's song bigger than Twice but Jennie/Lisa were not bigger than BP?
    Pop did miles better than TTT in Korea and I think similarly internationally...definitely a similar amount of 24 hour YT views or even higher

    But Solo is not bigger than any BP songs including and after D4 internationally and it is not bigger than any BP title tracks in SK either save for like KTL and Ice Cream. MONEY is not bigger than PV internationally either and obviously not in SK.

    How come Nayeon overshadowed her own group but Jennie/Lisa didn't?

    Well... you can’t do worse than scientist. Also it was twice first solo album ever, people were anticipating for the most popular member so it’s Normal that she got more attention than a regular twice cb.


    Solo isn’t bigger than DDDD but it’s similar to some of their hits songs like PWF, whistle etc.

    Money was arguable the biggest song until PV.



    I don’t agree with pop went viral yeah it did but it wasn’t as impactful as money suddenly rise. You didn’t see any Jump in streams days after the release. Not every songs will get streams if they go viral.

    People overthink things. The song is good, it's as simple as that.


    Plus Nayeon IS Twice. Even Nayeon says herself, this isn't Nayeon's first solo, this is Twice's first solo. Nayeon is the representation of Twice as she always has been being the center of Twice and her voice representing the sound of Twice.


    Pop! reminded everyone of what Twice's is known for, extremely catchy songs, colorful and fun MV. iconic key choreo, etc.


    A lot of soloist change to a different sound when they go solo but Twice's sound just happens to be Nayeon's sound.
    Pop! is essentially a Twice song with Nayeon playing every single role, including the rap.

    Your answer is revision of POp success. Pop didn’t do well straight after debut. It did better because it is a much catchier song than Twices recent songs. Simple as that
