International fans seem to constantly have misconceptions about this. Korea doesn't dislike idol dating. If anything, they're very proud of their culture and would like to see it passed onto future generations.
Some of the fans make it a scandal, so by extension, the companies feel pressured to restrict it or discourage it. However, the rest of Korea doesn't really care.
Sadly the people I have seen trying to deny it and say their photos together are fake are so called fans. Mostly shippers. There is a notorious one on here who has tried to disprove all of Jennie's dating history.
I think these days in particular, the GP don't give a damn. It is so called fans who cause the issues, exacerbated by companies selling idols as boyfriends/girlfriends and making them do fan service with their band members.
Jennie and Tae could confirm it and fans would say they were held at gunpoint to lie.
