yeah, both the service boy statement, the birthday party incident and the fact that his mom gave him an expensive jacket to wear in Seoul so he wouldn't be bullied makes it obvious he was at the bottom of the hierarchy in his elementary/middle school years.

I think he grew up rather poor, which probably was part of the reason. I feel like we hear a lot about idols bullying to reinforce their status as "hot shit" so to speak.
