I think they do have outstanding members but I wonder if the birth of the group didn't come with its own issues, to the point that even the fandom is divided since day one.

They have less outstanding members because the public is pretty bad at picking members, IOI was the same thing but to a lesser extent.

IOI has Chungha, Sejeong and Somi who have successful individual careers though

I only know Bahi because of the hate she got when she debuted

Xiaoting and Dayeon are outstanding members imo

There's no need for rigging. Just make it so that the final line-up is mostly decided by a jury of professionals, like most groups but televised. Resort to fan voting only to select contestants from pools of equally skilled individuals.
