Fans take extreme measures to defend their faves! Attacking victims, family members, sharing private information and threatening!

  • There have been a lot of controversies around Idols these years and every time there are Fans who go to the full extreme to defend their faves where I even ask myself ‘sure these people don’t work as professional bullies’ ?

Not talking about any particular incident.

For real I love my faves and would defend them, but I wouldn’t go as far risking my account getting blocked or even worse, getting sued for stalking and harassing and sharing private information about someone else. :pepe-use-head:

  • I mean, there are stays currently going off at the BBC for covering the Hyunjin situ....pls the BBC is out here sending its people into active warzones, interviewing facist leaders and even pulling the rug out from under Dubai by covering stores about thier leader kidnapping his kids and these kids think a couple of mean messages on twitter is gonna stop them?

They need to sit down and shut up.

Some seem to have have lost touch to reality. Such things are also the reason Kpop has a bad rep.

  • Yeah, what blinks did to the Indian people complaining about the BP MV being offensive was horrible. All the doxxing and death and rape threats over something like that. The same for VIPs and how they attacked that whistleblower in Seungri case.

  • well that's the thing right...

    its called strategy...

ad hominem attacks and attacks on one's character is a very excellent form of character assassination

silencing, threatening, getting rid of a witness has been a successful strategy for thousands of years...and its made easier these days because of the internet.

The use of such attacks depends on your perspective on how moral and ethical one is in terms of using strategy to one's advantage. ie. does the end justify the means?

  • Stans are completely biased when it comes to their fave artists, this is not new.

Not siding with the victim is understandable if they are too emotionally biased, but actually harassing them and trying to 'debunk' their claims, or pressure them is vile.

It has officially crossed the threshold over from 'wow they are so deluded its funny', and into 'wow we actually need to get these people some help'.

For some reason they think that journalists, who get death threats from people with nukes and histories of murdering journalist on a daily basis, would be scared of a few kids on the internet.

y'all attacked bp like they were the set director but for other groups it's let's email the company. :pepe-use-head: :pepe-back-away:

    lol

  • I can never accept this, if you think someone innocent prove it without these shady tactics.

  • Stans are big hypocrites, they'll go for full length aggressiveness when a scandal is about someone they don't care about and change the tune as soon as their favs get into the same mess. It's the same for majority of kpop fans not just minority and deep down we all are biased even if we want to pretend we're not.

Now related to your description, those people who hate on the victims' social media 24/7 are another breed, the ones that can't be helped, I hope they're in minority.

  • I can never accept this, if you think someone innocent prove it without these shady tactics.

thats the thing...for these people and maybe others the question isn't so much about innocence or guilt its about winning at all cost....

thus the guilty and innocent can all avail themselves of such tactics alike

the end goal is to get off scot free regardless of the methods of getting there hence my final statement

does the ends justify the means
