Blackpink and Aespa both have periods where they starve fans of content, therefore when they come back it’s always an event. Ive still has two songs doing well on the charts, yet they’re coming back with another one and are also doing many side activities. Should they slow down a bit, take an extended hiatus?

tbh i'm not too sure about Starships method this time around. It could just be IVE are that strong but the fact that their previous singles are still charting feels like they are going to cannibalize themselves on the charts and that's with the potential of already getting eaten up by Twice, BP, and SNSD and Yoo Jae Suk and possibly IU.

You can’t tell me this last aespa cb was a event lmao, if anything they suffered from being gone to long. Should’ve comeback in April instead
Oversaturation won’t hit until they are at least 2. And even then I don’t think it will. Twice was putting out double and the gp loves them so much only until they changed their concept
Y’all have been fooled by blackpink, you actually have to ducking move to capitalize on hype. Doing whatever blackpink does ain’t gonna get you nowhere unless you bp themsleves. Only god knows how they’ve stayed so relevant

I think, they are on the right path.
When a group is 'new and hot' it is not time to create scarcity. they have to build the fanbase, so should indeed put out a lot of content.
The time for rest or for playing the 'scarcity' game will come later. Not in the first year of success.
Eventually one of their songs will underperform, then they can switch gears. But as is, they should keep up the pace.

Also people seem to forget that blackpink was pretty active in their first year with 4 MVs released, promoted in lots of tv shows and went to many award shows as well.
Ive can get the luxury of slowing down too once they establish themselves, and at this rate theyre going its not going to take long.
not really, sure in comparison to now they were but I wouldn't use the word pretty active they definitely were lacking in that area in comparison to other girl groups

Well I haven't followed either group closely, meaning individual schedules variety appearances etc but as far as I can objectively see
Blackpink in 1st year
- 4 mvs
- 3 promoted songs
Ive in 1st year currently
- 2 mvs
- 2 promoted songs
So yeah 4 mvs and 3 promoted songs in a year definitely looks like a lot to me. That is something that is never happening again from Blackpink. The closest was in 2019 but then again it was nowhere near of how active they were in 2016. If you mean 2017, then I get that. They released AIIYL and disappeared. 2023 would be the equivalent year for Ive, but I doubt SSE will do the same cause they want to milk as much money as possible.
"They were lacking in that area in comparison to other groups" well so is IVE if you compare them to rookie Twice and rookie Red Velvet.
Its obvious that Ive is busy right now but yall acting like all you have to do to be successful is do something great and stay still waiting for the rest to happen. No, just because it looks easy now doesnt mean it was, not even for Blackpink.
