First I would like to say that the song girls by aespa is a banger! Like the song slaps after the 3rd listen.
I did notice while watching the MV that the choreo looked weirdly empty and unexciting. I then clicked on the studio choom performance 30 minutes ago and I have to say - this is the absolute worst choreo I have ever seen in Kpop.
I had to watch it twice to figure out why it was so bad - They are all doing different moves at the same time, the moves do not flow well at all, its not pleasing to the eye and im pretty sure it sucks to perform this crap too. And NO - this has nothing to do with the skills of the members - the choreo itself just sucks. The choreo team that did this ought to be ashamed of themselves and SM needs to question whichever higher up approved this crap.
In that vein, I had a conversation with my friend about other bad kpop choreographies and could not come up with any off the top of my head. Examples in the comments if you have any? usually most choreo is either great and elevates the song or is just ok and does not detract from it. This is one of the only cases where watching a performance makes the song worse than just listening to the audio.
