Peoples ages on forums are confusing

Sometimes I refuse to believe people are as old as they say they are. There are some users who are pushing 40 and I don’t believe it. Especially when users who are in their teens and who are mature and have agood head on their shoulders. But then there are the users who fit the age assumptions. I’m always taken aback when I hear peoples ages because I assume they’re all like my age.

Some people use big fancy words that I couldn’t fathom doing while others use short forms and a lot of emojis I’ve noticed. And it’s difficult to tell someone’s age simply by the way they type. But even when it comes to arguments on the forum and realize when someone is a certain age and it definitely doesn’t seem like it one way or another

That makes sense. But even with people who have English as their first language I have noticed it too.

You don’t seem scary to me LOL. I’m also studying to be a teacher so that may have something to do with it. But yeah I’m the same, I match people’s tone when I speak. It really all depends who I’m talking to what side of me is shown

Honestly I thought you were a young teenager. But i guess I’m not too wrong because in my experience on forums teenagers and middle aged users (with a few exceptions ofc) seem to have this “I know everything” aura

People also think Winter is a teen when in fact Winter is a full adult (although they don’t really want to be)
