Why didn’t you include ‘Resident Evil’ in the title? I read the thread title and didn’t bother to check it because I thought it was just a Netflix something. I was surprised when I saw it was Resident Evil’s remake on Twitter.

If you're into horror the games are for the most part good. The series as a whole is the de facto horror game series going on for 20+ years. Zombies, viruses, action, puzzles (some of which barely make sense lol) and a general lonely atomosphere. I recommend then if you're into that stuff.
However like I said anything outside the games is terrible. The big budget Hollywood movies are crappy generic zombie movie and are loosely tied together using a movie only character for some reason instead of using the actual characters from games.
I looked up some reviews of this new series and it's now basically half cheesy horror and half cringe teen drama, a huge departure from it's source material. Awful.

By RE franchise I meant the Hollywood film series, RE the game is still one of greatest games ever made that i grew up playing with...
