im jealous i wasnt able to experience 2016-2018 kpop, i only joined late 2018. not only were there amazing gg hits (and twice was still releasing super cute concepts), but there were actual bg songs i enjoyed. all 4th gen bgs have disappointed me musically with most of their titles.

2022 is doing good with a bunch of gg/female soloist hits. (pop, invu, tomboy, love dive, fearless, feel my rhythm, run2u. and im betting snsd, blackpink, aespa and possibly twice's next comeback will chart very well). but i feel like there are WAYY less male kpop artists hits. can someone tell me any boy group/male kpop soloist hits outside of still life, that that, and yet to come (idk if yet to come was a hit but it looks like its charting decently)

Kpop peaked in 2020-2021 tbh.

I wonder how much more kpop would have exploded internationally if they release the 2018 golden tracks this year. I feel like most groups release good music but not iconic songs like the ones they used to, so I definitely miss the 2018 era. Even 2021 was better music wise for me than this year...
