Do you ever read books that are translated from different languages?
This thread is a bit based on a video by Jack Edwards, where he reads 7 translated books in 7 days.
Well... I'm not a native English speaker, I actually read books in a few languages that I understand. (mostly read it in Faroese, Danish and English)
I know that I wouldn't be reading only Faroese books, because I would be missing out a lot of books if I did.
I do also sometimes read books that are translated from languages other than English.
Back when I was a child, I used to read books by Astrid Lindgren (translated from Swedish) and Thorbjørn Egner (translated from Norwegian).
I even read books translated from Danish to Faroese sometimes, even though that seems kind of weird of me to do because I understand Danish fluently.
But I do also understand Swedish and Norwegian, even though not as well as Danish.
But well... if a book is in a language that I don't understand much or at all, then I read it translated to a language I understand.
I sometimes read mangas. And because I can't read Japanese, I have to read it translated instead.
