Keep in mind that all of these groups are doing it for different reasons.
BTS was supposed to be a hip-hop group, and RM and Suga were releasing their own songs even before they debuted.
Seventeen were self-producing before Hybe got Pledis. Woozi happened to be capable of writing songs, and Pledis was broke broke, so there was no reason to not let him write the songs.
Txt, as far as I know, have been trying to write songs since their debut, but constantly got and still get rejected by Bighit. But I also remember reading at some point they got requested by Bighit to add something to a song? So if that's true I guess Bighit realized after beginning to promote them harder as a "relatable" and "authentic" group that that image is not complete if the members don't have a single credit on any song.
But why should Enhypen contribute to their songs?
Have any of the members talked about writing songs? Can any of them do it at all?
Is there a need? No there isn't, there are enough producers at Hybe already that they, presumably total beginners, could never compete with.
Would it contribute anything to their image? No. At this point, no one expects Enhypen to self-produce either.

Why are you saying this when you know nothing about them? A lot of members talked about songwriting and producing many times. I don't know why kpop fans expect a 1 year old group to produce and write songs. Not much time has passed, they have a long career ahead and many opportunities to write/compose/produce.

Also, Heeseung already completed one song not just a participation but his own & a lot of unfinished songs. We all have our own phase. There are even singers in US that took long to compose their own. Just because someone did it faster , it doesnt mean they are less talented. Some are just built differently & wont just give in their own artistry for trendy songs or possibly it doesnt suit their discography. But for u to question that they are not into music is annoying.

in general idk what hybe is planning to do with the group or how they plan to let them grow past pure fandom when they're so bad at managing fans/their images. txt for example by their 2nd year had so much more variety and industry experience. cant see sunghoon booking any more mc gigs after music bank and half the group has no idea what's appropriate to say on/off camera.

How do you know who has potential? It's almost like you don't know them irl.
And what did it bring TXT? They couldn't even sell 1M in 3 years or become the fastest group to reach 1B streams or get many achievements that Enhypen got. Don't worry about them.

Don't wanna break it for u but... Even sunghoon said himself that he's working on producing song and said that he will be really happy if belift will include one of his songs to their future albums!!!... Not only him but also jake&jungwon!!!
