There are a lot of things a company provides that I don't think we take into account. There are "costs" to doing business that I think many idols don't have the "know how" to be able to handle themselves. Could they learn? Sure, but I'd rather them focus on doing what they enjoy and be able to leave those other aspects to competent people they can trust.
Good points. There is value in that expertise even if that comes at the cost of some creative freedom

For Day6 tbh I don't know.
I feel at this point they don't necessarily need JYPE/Studio J anymore since they do not depend on them for songs (they never did) as Day6 writes their own songs and co-produce them with like 1 main producer.
If another company can give them more freedom in terms of their artistry, and also better promotion then yes
