What can Chaeyeon do?

Hello, I wanted to ask if people had idea or opinion on which career path can lee chaeyeon.

Which skills she should improve.

What event or project can participate too.

What type of jobs she can try to do.

I don't think she has a future in the idol industry. Her only opportunity was to redebut soon after leaving Izone while she had some popularity. SWF probably hurt her reputation. Her dancing alone can't carry her to a successful solo career as an idol. Her visuals are also a hinder to gaining any traction as a soloist.

She can join (G)I-DLE. They need a main dancer.

I don't understand why her company won't just give her a solo debut. Even if it's just a single or something just to test the waters. She's not the most popular visual or the most trendy idol, but she's known to the public from her appearance in SWF and she's got at least a fanbase from her time in PD48 and IZ*ONE. It doesn't hurt to let her release a song here or there to gauge a reaction before maybe investing more in her as a solo artist or to decide what she should ultimately do for her future.

Yeah maybe she won't blow up to be like Chungha or Somi or even Yena, but she can make enough money and sell decent enough to sustain a career. That's a lot more than what other idols can ask for.

Idol solo will not work. She would be kinda like Chungha, but weaker in every way that is relevant.

Idol GG member could work, but that didn't happen for some reason, and she's getting a bit old. She's not THAT old, so it could still happen. If she's interested, plenty of B-tier agencies would want her for her skills and the popularity boost. The biggest companies clearly aren't interested though.

Her variety and acting skills aren't great, so if being an idol isn't happening then she should probably get some other dancing-related job.

There’s two things Chaeyeon has as an advantage: her good reputation and her language skills. Not sure how great her Japanese is, but having an image of getting along with everyone and being a kind person is a good one to have (especially in this climate of bullies being exposed).

Now the competition within GGs, is getting really fierce. Even amongst soloists, it’s worse. Yena was the only one who managed to cultivate a new image solo. Yuri has a huge fanbase so it’s okay, but even Eunbi with the best music of them all will experience a downward trajectory soon. I don’t think it’s a bad idea for Chaeyeon to debut later as a soloist however being a soloist as her primary job….won’t work.

First of all she needs buzz, to bring in new fans. I don’t think it’s a bad idea to get some sort of job working with the media/interviewer. Especially if she can translate in Japanese. Some sort of cross-language version of the radio show Wendy’s doing. Maybe they can get another interviewer with Chaeyeon to bring in more views.

There’s also one more thing 4th gen lacks and it’s a duo. In 2nd gen there was Kyungri/Kwanghee and the most famous was Troublemaker. In 3rd gen..ig the closest was KARD? But there’s very few sexy concepts being done tastefully and there’s an open spot for a duo/trio type thing. It’s going to make news for sure if Chaeyeon does a project like that (especially with a male trainee), and it’s going to get her a lot of hate, but also attention. Chaeyeon’s of age, and if she works on the sexiness a bit I’m sure it could work. Like it’s worth a try. And then use that buzz for something else.

I can’t think of many 4th gen idols who can do sexy too. I can think of a lot of ITZY’s older line, Aespa Karina and Ning Ning, the older ones in Lesserafirm IG?, but other groups like Ive/Stayc don’t have that kind of image. It’s an open spot for Chaeyeon, who could do sexy better than all of IZ*One. She has time to train too.
