Unfortunately, many see idols as commodities. They don't see idols as humans who go through the ups and downs of life. Anyone who body shames GD or anyone else better be looking great all the time. They should also hope and pray they don't experience any hardships affect their physical appearance.
Despite the image of perfection that the K-pop world gives us, it's unrealistic for people to look like flawless anime characters all the time.
In adjacent to that, a lot of these judgmental K-pop fans view entire populations not as people, but as mere numbers to boast about when they're living vicariously through their favorites. Pathetic, really.

I was trying my best in ignoring the hate that GD is getting here and I even saw you trying to change the subject when others quoted you with their hating mentality, but these last days?? People started acting like trash, literally.. no way it's ok to write such things about another human being without guilty ?? Unbelievable how people go soooo low just for the sake of fanwar.

I think some people see gd as not morally perfect so they feel free to drag him, that's why I always roll my eyes and chuckle at the performative bs that happens all the time on the f***** internet, they think they are some sort of moral high ground (spoiler: they aint) they feel like they are judges of the internet it is so disgusting, I like GD not a stan so I can only wonder how stressful its for VIP its already stressful for me seeing the hypocrites
