Give each of the girls their own high end fashion brand to promote, finetune their stage skills, give them individual pages & keep the mediaplay up and they have a good shot.
Only real problem is their music (if they want to succeed in the west). That sm thing doesn't work there. Give them their own hype music that sounds coherent and exciting a la Teddy.
Blinks will hate to hear it, but 60% of bp is good mediaplaying, 20% is Teddy & the last 20% are the girls themselves.

hope not
their fandom is much more bearable than blinks

They have a long way to go, maybe if they fix a couple of things first eg. stage presence, instead I would say they definitely could be the next Red Velvet (based on style and skill set)

Blackpink are organic success since debut as much as some like to scream mediaplay to discredit them, their numbers have always been on another level.
Same cannot be said about aespa, they do worse than rookie bp in a much bigger kpop market, they wouldn't do half of their numbers if bp didn't exist. Hell, sm created them with bp in mind.

why does every time a new fourth gen group debuts we get this repetitive conversation topic...it's happened with idle, everglow, itzy, aespa, ive, and lesserafim lol can't wait until we get ygngg
i don't think even yg played their cards right when it came to bp. they tried absolutely nothing new when it came to bp versus 2ne1 except adding a member from SEA - the groups even had the same producer and same number of members. the international success with bp just happened naturally because good music with western appeal and charming members. and if armys want to come crying in here as they already are, what exactly was yg mediaplaying when aiiyl charted on bubbling under in 2017 with no western promotion at all

I wouldn't bet against it, but I don't think so. I think SM groups are too formulaic for the West, too KPop. And when they do feature English it's the cringiest lines. The reason BTS and Blackpink (to a lesser extent) broke through is that their songs fit in with what we already listen to.
I think Aespa could match up with Twice. Selling out tours, getting the good chat show slots, charting well. But I don't see them breaking out.

The question isn't can aespa be the next bp but can aespa be the next TVXQ!?
