I mean BTS made him a lot of money and he didn't know what to do with it, so he made TXT and then Enhypen. He obviously knew these junior groups won't be a big profit compared to BTS. He just made them for self-satisfaction just like PSY made songs after Gangnam Style.
Well and thats exactly the incredibly stoic way to think, only caring about money and profit. How can someone in a creative industry think like that?
Should Tarantino stop making movies just because he might never surpass Pulp Fiction or should Paul McCartney stop making songs just because he womt even come 1% close to his Beatles days anymore?
Why not continue creating something for your own satisfaction even after your glory days? What exactly speaks against that?
You know most people who retire and then stop doing almost anything productive age much faster than people who try to live hard and work hard on something even after retirement.
Creating something, living for something, not stopping what you want to do even if its just for your own satisfaction is what keeps us going and what keeps us alive. Even more so in a creative field.
