it's so surprising. i don't have a problem with this collab but i hope if bp joins weverse both of the fandoms don't harass other artists page
BP probably won't be joining weverse only YG plus artists

This thread is getting off topic can yall take this fight to the dms? This is specifically about SM interns/employees and their mistake its not meant to be a personal attack on the idols.
Here's a video of someone going to the account so I think it is real. But I'm not the least bit shock we been knew Lee Sooman was obsessed with BTS. But come on now that intern was drunk, high, tired idk but they really linked BTS stuff and thought "this is fine, nothing wrong with this ".
KMA's don't even like to nominate idols groups especially recently with most idol groups winners being from second gen or early 3rd gen aka Exo. I think BP have the best shot at winning Best Pop song since 2016-2019 it was all idol groups that won. Though it does make me wonder why D4 didn't win in 2018.
Exactly by saying she is trying to be a stereotype someone is already putting her into a social box. There are so many people who talk like that since it is a part of the whole social media pop culture but she is getting reprimanded for it. Should she act differently so that she appease to Koreans?
I agree and like I get it, Fatou will be looked at differently speaking in that accent than a white girl but again who's fault is that, not hers. Koreans will never fully accept Fatou anyway because she's not Korean, Sam Okyere has lived in Korea for over 10 years, has been very respectful of the culture and when he tried to call the teens out on black face they turned of him and started calling him racial slurs. Koreans barley want to accept SEA and sometimes have a problem with Japanese and Chinese idols.
People will always stereotype black people no matter what so I don't see the point in trying to act all soft spoken to appease to Koreans. Black get called thugs just by standing and wearing hoodies does that mean black people shouldn't do either of those things? You gotta realize the problem isn't black people, the problem is the racist. BTW I'm a black a woman.
Baby Monster has no longevity imagine being a whole adult in this group.
So you think stans acting superior is the reason why others can’t or don’t want to give credits to their faves ?
Interesting
2nd gen stans like to downplay 3rd gen a lot and if that didn't happen I don't think 3rd gen stans would have a problem acknowledging them. Its like if I were to ignore everything 2nd gen has done because 1st gen groups were first by your logic I could ignore the entirety of kpop's achievements because they owe it all to MJ for inspiring Lee Sooman.
People wouldn't have a problem with giving credit to 2nd gen if their stans would stop acting superior. I mean even Seo Taeji from the 1st can recognize BTS achievements and doesn't follow it up with "i'm the reason for their success, they'd be nothing without me!" Downplaying BTS' impact on kpop in the west is ridiculous when they've made more progress than the entire 2nd gen alone. Kpop groups are getting signed by American labels and that wasn't happening before BTS.
Bottom line we can acknowledge and credit without tearing down others to do so.
Twice started in 2015 and BP in 2016 which means they still have a few years before their contracts are over. Companies just started to debut new girl groups Itzy debuted in 2019 and Aespa in 2020 and Soumu/BH GG will debut this year so its too early to tell but 3rd gen girls groups are slowing down. Mamamoo and RV's contract end this year so we'll see if they continue but I'd doubt they'd keep promoting at the same rate. So by 2022-2024 we'll slowly see 4th gen take over 3rd gen.
We're def in the 4th gen and I think people look and see BTS, BP, Twice plus a few others are still at the top of the game and think "3rd gen is still going strong!" but look around: EXO has slowed promotions and members going to the military, GOT 7's contract is over/will be over soon and their disbanding, RV and Mamamoo's contract will be ending soon too, BTS members will be headed to military soon as well, CLC is gone will officially disband etc
Things are changing and there's always groups that transcend generations like Bigbang who is from 2nd but kept going strong until 2016 and that didn't stop the 3rd gen from continuing.
I feel like I stepped in time machine and arrived in 2018. I can't believe people are still making threads to compare the two groups.
BTS has gotten a deal with Colombia and as a result groups like Ateez and (G)idle have gotten record deals as rookie that wasn't happening before BTS came to the West. The western market isn't a fan of groups so its not fair to say BTS have to make it possible for other group to be successful when the market makes that almost impossible, not them. Also don't start with the tour sBTS sold out wembly stadium which only 12 artists have been able to do. The fact that BTS has achieved what 99.9% of established western singers haven't as non English singing artist is an incredible feat.
A whole English song did that!
Stray Kids has been gaining popularity for a while with songs like God's Menu and Backdoor, that was months before the news of Got 7 disbanding started. People weren't avoiding Stray Kids in favor of Got 7 the two groups have very different music and vibe so I don't really see how they compete.
Jin is receiving/has received professional help so we should just hope for the best. He has his members, family and friends that he can reach out too, so as fans we shouldn't worry and trust in Jin especially since we couldn't change his situation anyway.
Part of me is sad cause I might never get tickets but another part of me is happy because that means BTS will sell out shows and not only does that make them money but its a great achievement to have. Touring is the ultimate way to show your power as an artist.
