Not yall fighting with a brick wall. Even when I'm making threads about BTS only and never mentioning their favs in any capacity (I would never), they're still obsessed with BTS and commenting on them. That's BTS' unique power, like a moth to a flame. The tunnel vision kpop stans reserve for BTS and hyper fixation on them needs to be studied.
My God people are truly obsessed with anything ARMY /BTS, that they even lack common sense when writing comments or liking them.
Atleast be a good hater and don't give other reasons to drag you.

This thread is literally whining because your fave isn't getting special treatment. I'd be careful with the judgey comments.
Either bias and hate has blinded you or you truly have comprehension problems. The thread title, OP and discussion is about how many "idols" were assigned to the frontlines and till now there was only one named.
So either no other idol except Taecyeon and jin ever lived near Seoul or they are given 'special' treatement, in your words, for various reasons.
So what is it?
Oh and no one is talking out of their ass or merely whining here, but you sure are.
Whenever Korean articles and comments about BTS elistment issue were translated, it was very common to read people voicing that they want BTS members to be assigned to politically difficult areas.
Just so that the world would know about the continued 'injustices' Korea is facing by the hands of Japan/N.Korea.

Hey,
Take my best wishes and prayers for your future, be it studies or life in general.
With the changes you are making, I hope it leads to a happy and satisfying journey.
I am also in the process of withdrawing a bit from social media to focus on other things... so best of luck!
God willing, will meet you again... just tag me when you visit akp. Keep smiling and be strong!

I mentioned that concern before, that these people will just use them and will make them work 24/7… i was told to focus on my faves .
We know that BTS would make decisions that are best for them. They know their own limits and have power to act on their own decisions.
They are a unique group in kpop and hold way more power, as demonstrated recently. In other words, BTS is not helpless. That's why people should not speculate that someone would "use them and make their work 24/7".

Glad we on the same page!
I just wish BTS to be happy and healthy individuals with positive relations and outlook. After a decade of running in this cut-throat industry, they deserve peace and the 'luxury' of slowing down.
Not be used as chess pieces, when they have independently carved their own crazy success.

The industry, politicians, journalists and the gp do not have BTS' best interest in their heart. This was proved again and again by how BTS and their success is treated and covered for years now.
So everything aside, I would rather BTS be free to make their own choices for life... be it personal or professional. And exemption would be used as a stick to make BTS do what certain people in power want for the rest of their life. They were already used and abused as the face of kpop exemption law by others, without even being asked.
We can already see how BTS' heartfelt wishes, as individuals and artists, are not being respected. These insensitive people should not have any leverage over BTS and their activities.

I haven't read the thread yet but here's my two cents.
BTS hasn't peaked but I think their creativity might have peaked. For what I saw here and there, the numbers were good but not what you would expect to see from them after they have grown so much the past few years and after a big hiatus. And that has pretty much to do with the creative decisions.
Despite aggressive claims otherwise, Armys are to a very large extent a kpop fandom and hype is necessary but both the anthology announcement and the song itself cooled it down. And that is seen now.
They will still sell out any stadium tour everywhere and sell millions of albums but you can't see the great growth because of those two things.
As I said in the comeback thread, you can have too many fan dedicated or introspective career songs. After a while it gets repetitive and to me personally less genuine.
It's not like the other artists who don't have so many fan dedicated songs hate or ignore their fans. This doesn't have to dictate your artistry so often.
In the past we used to have philosophical and literature references in their mv and concepts and young people read and got to find out interesting information because of them. Now everything is watered down and with the abundant resources in their hand, they often get or show the bare minimum and I don't get it.
Everything is merch and profit oriented to a point that makes me uncomfortable.
People will call me a bitter old fan and that's fine, they have called me worse here. But to see the way things progressed with an artist I used to live so much makes me a little sad.
If it's their own decision, I respect that, despite not understanding why.
Are you talking about the genre or the lyrics of ytc? And just ytc or also the new songs in Proof?

Hope you are right
I am the Ms. Right.

I'm not for the Snoop Dog collab for RUN BTS 'cause it's their story (7 of them, no outsiders, hehe)
Yes agree with the MV!
You know what? That's what I was thinking... how would all the stories tie in, maybe Snoop dogg would tell his own story of persistence?
But Snoop Dogg or no, we are getting that MV and performances with promotion.

I love theories like this and will always be ready with my clown costume if it doesn't happen
My sixth sense is tingling... let's be clowns together then.

Yup, c-dramas have lots of gems, I've been watching them as much as kdramas now
Me too... they usually have more complex characters with fleshed out back story and interesting plot with attention to detail.
After years of watching K dramas, they were starting to feel stale, cdramas brought the attention back.

Jimin just said that he chose 'Yet to come' as a main single which is apt because it is a song that tells BTS story better than any other song before.
J-Hope in his today's WeVerse interview said that he used autotune on purpose because he wants to try new things as an artist. He chose the flow of his verse. Because that's how things have always been like.
But some of these kids (who are actually more "anti HYBE" than "BTS fans" as they claim) want to push this narrative that BTS don't have a say in their music just to satisfy their ego for not liking the songs and to get to complain about HYBE. They don't even mind "BTS flopping" to "teach HYBE a lesson". It's better to have antis than these types of "fans" honestly
Like... they are so ready to just say that BTS are puppets and have no say in their own music direction as a group.
They are the artists who knew that Run BTS is going to be most popular with ARMYs, but still chose YTC as the tt.
Not because they were aiming to break all the records and create the most noise (otherwise would have gone with RB) but because that's what they WANTED to be represented by, right now.
They one the few artists (especially in kpop) who have the luxury and drive to do that. Choosing to release what they want, instead of what they have to, for optimum commercial success... because they smash either way. Just like now!
Imagine then saying they were forced to do so... for what exactly?

Same here. So glad I decided to explore c dramas... they really have some entertaining gems.
