Aran was the "Dreamy" part on Fifty Fifty tracks and it's really hard to replicate the previous soundscape it without her IMO. Blop
Gravity is very good. though

Well, like you said, you can use anything if you pay for it, and I'm a graphic designer, so these designs are not that expensive, so I'm pretty sure their company did pay for it.
Like I said above, if they paid for it, there's no problem here, and I'm 100% sure they paid for, because if not, they wouldn't use it in the first place.
I don't think anyone is or will be confused by this, because this isn't a game, it's a Kpop album from a "nugu" group, so there won't be any problem.
This is just my opinion but I HIGHLY DOUBT they paid because that would tank the entire financial viability of this Comeback or maybe even the their whole company.
I think you're too focused on the "design" but that's just one aspect of it, the entire IP of GTA V, the very fact that GTA is a very recognizable franchise, so if there is any fee it's gonna be in the milions of dollars. That is assuming Rockstar is even willing to engage in this specific kind of deal where their game is the entire basis of an album.
So yeah I stand by what I believe that there were no clear cooperation or communication between the two companies. -
Just because they changed some things, they still have to ask for permission, because the base designs are the same on every promo they did. Obviously this isn't a full-on collab, unless they say otherwise, but I'm 100% sure they asked for permission, because that's the way. They could be sued for using RG's templates.
You know what if it turns out that they didn't ask permission and this is really a slippery slope case of IP infringement and Fair Use.
This post is Exhibit A material for Rockstar lawyers: "See, somebody is already confusing that our company is in collaboration with this Kpop group. We are not a part of any of this. Please stop using materials that closely resemble our IPs and take this down immediately"
Edit: Actually, I'm pretty sure they didn't ask and hiding behind the idea of Fair Use and hoping Rockstar Games won't even bother about any of this.
Like do you think you can just phone Rockstar asking them if you can ride on their multibillion dollar brand and they will just say Yes?
It's either they say No or Yes but you need to cough up some $$$. -
three broke girls
At this point I honestly think one of the parents or all of them are loaded. lol

Regardless, If Sio and Aran redebut as a duo ala Bol4 not Kpop though, I will follow them, I really like their tones and vocal color when singing together. lol
-
To me the best could happen is that someone buys the group and that's it, for the group and for the label, they can't work together anymore, and that way no one would lose. But rn is really hard, I just can see Warner doing that, and I don't know if they would do it after having the whole Korea against the group.
Well, maybe Warner could float their previous offer of $16 Million(or even lower) again, since prior to all of this JHJ was valuing his company at $60 Million(which VCs didn't believe either). Now we all know that value is even more unlikely since any potential future of Attrakt has been torpedoed down. lol
The reality is though, I just don't see other company getting the entire group after all of this, at best, it will be Aran and Sio who has the highest chance of getting a buy out all things considered. -
Private citizens can't file criminal cases. They can only submit criminal complaints. Whether or not the courts choose to follow up on it is at their discretion.
Thanks for correcting the details.
-
Welp by media playing too much, JHJ ironically won nothing lol, he now has an asset that is hated by the public, don't want to work with him, they all lost. I mean sure, JHJ can start over but with zero production skills not only he needs to find new Fifty Fifty 2.0 but The Givers 2.0 as well.
Keep in mind that there is also a separate criminal case filed by Fifty Fifty against JHJ/Attrakt. They'll be on this for months to come. I hope Aran can at least post some song covers in the meantime.

Yeah this definitely has gone political, what confuses me is one of the statement of the politician who asked the Ministry of Culture if they knew about the case happening.
"On 25 Aug at the plenary session, Representative Lee Yong asked Park Bo-gyoon, Minister of Culture, Sports, Tourism, if he was aware of the Fifty Fifty controversy. Minister Park said that it was inappropriate to discuss specific details but that he was watching the situation through a lens of fairness. Lee said that Fifty Fifty was selected for music business that Disney invested in but the contract was cancelled due to this controversy and that it was a loss of Korea."
So suddenly Disney is supposedly also involved and interested with the group? lol
Although this came from twitter, so I don't know if it's true or what. -
This came out on reddit, it is about whether he misappropriated funds to pay starcrew, it is not known if it is true or not, but that is where the complaint before the judge is from, that is where the program should go to verify if it is true or not but it is distracted by other things
a user puts this
Now what's interesting is from this translation, they used the term "came to learn" which indicated that it's not just a wild accusation but they have done research/background check on it. Meaning that if they can prove this to be true then 1. Its proof that jhj has been embezzling money/stealing from the girls 2. they've lied to social media/"news" sites. And the whole "the givers made accounting errors" wouldn't really matter
I know lawyers can be sleazy but I don't think the law firm representing Fifty Fifty will accept and push through with this in the legal court if they have zero basis, Barun(their law firm) is not some random law firm down the street who are hungry for cases even if it's unwinnable.

Her solo is selling 500k, JYPE could hardly care about the charts.

But shit, if this is what all [small to medium] companies are doing, it is messed up and the SK government should do something about it.
Might as well include big companies as well, If I remember correctly and correct me if I'm wrong, Twice Momo was ordered to extreme diet and almost eat nothing for a weak during comeback preparations. So yeah everyone does it and I agree the authorities should really do something about this because this is actually one of the things that has a negative long term effects to the idools, eating disorders, anyone?
Objectively wrong and destructive ways of dieting is probably more normalized and accepted than plastic surgery in the industry and their society.

Fifity fifty files criminal charge against Attrakt for negligence of funds administration.
This is not a court ruling decision this is a criminal investigation now.
I remember their lawyer saying they're pressing criminal charges aside from the injunction like a month ago, is this it or this is another criminal charge?
-
Yes, this is going to go for a while longer, back to trial.
#FIFTYFIFTY Rejects Mediation With ATTRAKT + Trial To Resume
I think they just really don't like Attrakt and hate JHJ with passion, and at the very least trying to get out for free or get a new quote for their terminatino fee lol. I mean if they are simply being gaslighted and lead to, I would think there should be a breakdown among their ranks by now, like after all the things Siahn/The Givers supposedly had done, you would think the 8 parents and the girls will have some second thoughts.
But nope they are doubling down on this lawsuit instead. -
Just a last attempt by the Attrakt owner to get something from i fans and there is apparently a campaign to boycott this among FF's international fans
Yeah that thing is an obvious cash grab, I mean it would have been acceptable if there was a bit of an effort put into that album, but even the packaging is shit.

August 16, 2023: Fifty Fifty will only agree to meet with Attrakt for contract termination, a settlement/mediation is not an option.
Dispatch link. -
A repackaged version of their debut album The Beginning including Cupid is now available for preorder and will become available on September 22.
