Kentaro Sakaguchi is his name. Great actor. Seems like a pretty humble guy. Apparently, he was/is quite popular in Korea.

He starred opposite Lee Se-Young in 'What Comes After Love' late last year. He also starred in a Netflix drama titled 'Beyond Goodbye' that was released shortly after.

Having heard about the Ma Boy sampling, I was confused at first, as the song ended up sounding completely different from what I was expecting. However, the song turned out nicely and I enjoyed it. I hope it resonates with people who enjoy this type of concept and sound.

As a sidenote, I noticed the school gymnasium was also used in BEWAVE's 'Hard to get to you' MV, and can be better seen in the performance video, which I highly recommend too. At 1:35 of the 'TIP TOE' MV, you can also see a very brief scene of the girls on a rooftop. This rooftop can also be seen extensively in the 'Hard to get to you' Performance Video, suggesting it might also be the same location. The gymnasium, featuring a multitude of large windows and two levels to film from, is a great on location filming site for these types of concepts. It was used well by both groups.

Thanks for the informative reply. I checked out some images of the Angkor Wat Bas-Reliefs, and I can indeed see a number of potential design inspirations amongst them. The bas-reliefs are simply amazing too. Seeing the image you provided of the small golden disc by itself explains why it looked so familiar.

It's nice seeing OMG being mentioned. In addition to the above, Dun Dun Dance features many scenes of nature too. Also, YooA's Bon Voyage MV fits the bill to a T.

So, I feel like I have a problem. Every time I watch Ningning perform, I become so entranced by her eyes that, by the end, I feel like I've missed 90% of said performance. Then, I have to rewatch it, often multiple times, while attempting to resist the unnatural magnetism of those damn eyes, just so I can appreciate everything else. Has anybody else experienced this problem?

I'd seen a number of floral designs that were arranged upwards to more closely resemble the tall pointy shape of the headpiece you provided a link for, but I hadn't come across a floral design that drapes down like the one Lisa is wearing here, so I became curious.

I agree with crystalblues, the English version gives off ever so slightly different vibes, but it's equally good. This performance version just echoes my sentiments from the other thread: really pleasant song, great performers, and a smile on my face while watching. What's not to like?

I'm not watching the show so I can't comment on her role, but even from that small clip you can feel Lisa's signature energy. It's nice to see some positive responses being highlighted, as we've all seen how her involvement in the show has been criticized. I hope she continues to do well.

She looks amazing in the traditional Thai clothing. Earth Tones are very complimentary to her. While beautifully designed, the gold ornaments seem to add very little to her natural shine in this particular scene, but they're a nice addition nonetheless. Even though flowers aren't my thing, I find the floral headdress particularly eye-catching too. Does anyone know if this type of floral design is authentic or has a specific name? Or if the triangular shaped centerpiece has a meaning? It seems kind of familiar, especially the red jewels on either side, and now I'm wondering where I might have encountered the design before. I had a cursory look but couldn't find anything helpful.

Yeah, it instantly resonated with me because of that. I love the chorus. Although, even without the fun little 2^nd Gen nostalgia attack, the song is catchy enough, and probably a grower for some people who weren't sure about it after a single listen. It's just fun and positive vibes all round. Also, the music video was well shot and edited, I liked the colour grading, the choreography is fun and dynamic, and like others have mentioned, the girls were dressed age appropriately as far as I can remember, which is always a good sign. For me there's nothing not to like or be overly nitpicky about.

Spring is a lovely season after all.

As a big TVXQ fan from way back, I hope Jaejoong can do right by these girls. They deserve a chance. I was quite surprised when I discovered he was putting together a girl group, especially since he only just finished his exile sentence recently. Of course, he's a twenty year veteran and well respected amongst his seniors, peers, and even juniors, so I have trust that he'll do his best. I wish both the group and Jaejoong well in this endeavor.

I'm pleased to see Hitomi again. From what I've seen, the girls seem to have good chemistry which goes a long way. Also, I love the cute cat iconography.

I don't know about all that, but I do remember discovering the Rising Gods of the East back in 2006. For the longest time I was a believer; I even managed to convert my mum and sister, and they became very devout, to the point they travelled far to bear witness to their musical glory in both China and Korea. After that period of my life, I guess I didn't believe in much. However, many years later I incidentally came across a sacred text. Inscribed on the front cover were the words 'Ning Yizhou'. I took my time reading it, studying it, front-to-back and back-to-front. I'm still not sure I fully understand it, but I think I'm a believer. I heard a voice, and it most definitely blessed my ears.

I agree with everyone mentioned so far.

Rescene are truly underrated. One of my favourite new groups. I still feel like a time will come where they will receive more recognition. Sonically, they are music to my ears.

Tri.be is also criminally underrated. Perhaps I'm being selfish, but I really hope the rumours of them disbanding aren't true. Although, that may be what the girls want and is what's best for them at this stage. I remember I cried the first time I heard Diamond, for whatever reason, and then the late Shinsadong Tiger passed away, adding even more emotional impact to the song for me. Let's just say I still get somewhat emotional listening to the song. Whatever happens with the group, I hope the girls remain close and don't totally disappear into obscurity.

Well, it was unintended, but I'm glad you feel that way. It's just my honest takeaway as a casual fan. The girls are great, I enjoy their music, and they're always entertaining regardless of what type of content you're consuming. They clearly work hard and love their job.

I usually just lurk as I don't really feel the need to share my opinions often, but the board's been teeming with needless negative energy lately so I thought I'd try contributing by infusing a little positive energy here and there. After all, one of the biggest factors that drew me into the K-pop sphere back in '06 was the fun and positive energy I felt as I experienced this new and, at the time, very quirky thing called Korean pop for the first time.

I'd love to see Ningning cast in a Chinese xianxia drama. Her ridiculously beautiful, and equally cute face, paired with the colourful, vibrant, and elaborate outfits that are a staple of the genre would just be so fun and eye-catching. Her duality would fit so well too. She can be so goofy and unserious at times, which definitely fits the energy of many xianxia dramas. The only thing that could make it even better would be her singing an epic OST. I love hearing her sing in Mandarin. Her cover of Melody enriches my soul.

Back on topic, I'm glad more people are noticing her. For her talent, and her beauty. Seeing the recent uptick in really positive Korean YouTube comments on her videos has been so heartening to me. Of course, she doesn't need their validation, but it's nice to see their positive attitudes because she truly deserves it.
